Backup and restore
Records live in this browser on this machine. Nothing else backs them up, so export after any session where you changed something.
1. Backup file (.json) — this is the only backup
Holds everything - jets, bottles, loans, conditions, the change log and the revision number. This is the only file the tracker can read back in, and the only one to send to someone else.
2. Spreadsheet copy (.csv) — for Excel only
Opens in Excel so you can read the list or email it to someone. It is not a backup and cannot be uploaded back in - it does not carry the history or the revision number. Use the .json above for that.
Worth knowing: records are kept in this browser only. Clearing browsing data would wipe them, and nothing else backs them up. Download the .json after any session where you changed something. That file is also how you hand the tracker over to someone else.
